The Center for Women in Technology presents the "Bits & Bytes" Program for high school junior girls in February.  Each year, about 20-30 academically talented young women are invited to an overnight visit at UMBC an are hosted by the CWIT Scholars and Affiliates in CWIT's Living Learning Community.  The program encourages young women to be leaders in Information Technology and Engineering fields.  Please visit http://www.cwit.umbc.edu/hs/bitsbytes/ for more information.

Longwood University's Institute for Teaching through Technology & Innovative Practices' (ITTIP) Director, Dr. Mano Talaiver and Senior Technology Engineer, Bill Wilson attended the HP World Education Summit in New Delhi, India in March.  ITTIP received a grant to participate in HP's Catalyst Initiative, a global social innovation program designed to develop more effective approaches to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education worldwide.
